Pride weekend turns the Rainbow Quarter into one big party, and rooms go quickly. Here is what we know, and what we do not yet.
Blackpool Pride 2026: the 20th anniversary
Blackpool Pride marked its 20th anniversary in 2026 with a three-day festival from 5 to 7 June, themed One Love, One Pride. The festival was based around the Blackpool Tower festival headland. Headline acts were Heather Small, 911 and the Cheeky Girls.
When is Blackpool Pride 2027?
We could not find announced dates for 2027 when we last checked, on 22 October 2026, so we are not guessing. The festival has been held in early June, so expect a similar slot. Check the official site at blackpoolpride.org for confirmed dates, and we will update this page.
The parade
In 2026 the parade set off at 11am on Saturday 6 June from the Sandcastle Waterpark and marched along the Promenade to North Pier. The Prom was closed to traffic from 9:30am to 12pm between Burlington Road West and Springfield Road. Route details can change from year to year, so check the official programme.
The Rainbow Quarter street party
Over two days, a free street party ran along Lord Street during the 2026 weekend, between Springfield Road and Cocker Street, organised with Blackpool Rainbow Alliance CIC and more than 20 local businesses. Gates opened at 12pm, with DJs from 1pm and live entertainment from 5pm on both days. Entry was one-in-one-out when it reached capacity, so arrive early to guarantee a good spot.
How to book your room early
Decide whether you want a hotel with a bar, a guest house or a men-only stay. See Pride weekend hotels.
Choose somewhere near Lord Street so the street party and the parade are minutes away. The full stays list has locations.
Contact the hotel directly as soon as dates are announced and ask about minimum stays.
Check cancellation terms before paying.
What else is on around Pride?
Many venues put on extra shows and parties across the weekend, so it is worth looking at both the what's on guide and nightlife near your hotel before you arrive. Funny Girls, on Dickson Road, plus the bars along Queen Street are all within a short walk of Lord Street.
Check each venue for listed hours and ticket details, since they are often different on Pride weekend.
Do I need to book a hotel for Pride weekend?
Yes, and as soon as you can. Pride is the busiest weekend of the LGBTQ+ calendar in the resort, and the places closest to Lord Street are the first to go. Booking early gives you the widest choice, from men-only hotels to gay-owned guest houses.
Tips for a smooth weekend
Arrive early on the day if you want to get into the street party, because entry was one-in-one-out when full.
Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be on your feet and walking the Prom.
Take water, sun cream or a coat, depending on the forecast.
Agree a meeting point with your group in case you get separated.
Keep your hotel name and address saved on your phone.
