What is W3 Complex like?
W3 has traded since 2007 under a former name, WetWetWet, and is one of two men's saunas in town. The ground level offers a dry sauna, a big steam room, an open-air hot tub and a sunny terrace, with more rooms upstairs and a lounge for snacks and drinks. Entry is for men aged 18 and over. A sexual-health testing clinic runs there monthly, as part of local efforts to end new HIV transmissions.
When should you go?
Hours vary: it opens daily from late morning, with later finishes on some nights and weekends. The weekly rota is Naked Thursdays, Underwear Fridays, then late Saturdays; weekends draw the biggest crowds. Check before you travel.
